You can hear the first song from the duo below

Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall have announced that they will be releasing a joint album next year under the name The Waeve.

You can hear debut single ‘Can I Call You’ above via a video which is the first of a planned series of visuals directed by David J. East. The single is taken from a self-titled album which will be released early next year.

Produced by The Waeve together with James Ford, the album features 10 tracks that make an effort to push both artists out of their respective comfort zones – Coxon performs throughout on saxophone and cittern, while Dougall handles modular synths and piano.

The band have also shared details of a debut live show together at the Lafayette London on March 27. Tickets and full information can be found <a href="https://rockfeedback.seetickets.com/event/the-waeve/lafayette/2350310” target="out">here.

Coxon and Dougall will be interviewing one another for The Quietus’ ‘Peer Reviewed’ feature soon. Check back in with the site over the coming months to read it.

Transgressive will release The Waeve on February 3, 2023.
