Girl Band Announce Debut Album

Girl Band finally announce their debut album following on from a number of standalone releases

Having spent the last couple of years building up much anticipation for a debut album, Girl Band have finally announced the release of Holding Hands With Jamie. That’s the trailer for the album above.

The album comes a few years into the existence of the band following on from their highly regarded cover of Blawan’s ‘Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage’ and EP The Early Years. It was recorded in Dublin in April of this year just a couple of days after returning from their first ever US tour. "It was way more challenging to stay focused – tricky to find a balance between keeping a distance from the songs for perspective but also to fully concentrate on them,” says guitarist Alan Duggan of recording the album following on from the recording of shorter previous releases. Holding Hands With Jamie is out on September 25, via Rough Trade.
