George Michael Announces New Album

George Michael has announced that he’ll be releasing Symphonica, his sixth solo album, on March 17 via Virgin EMI/Universal Music Group. Michael recorded it on his tour of the same name, running from 2011-12, and it sees him revisiting his back catalogue, alongside performing interpretations of standards like ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’, ‘My Baby Just Cares For Me’ and ‘Wild Is The Wind’. It was recorded with the late Phil Ramone, a production luminary who worked on albums by Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra among others, and has been trailed by ‘Praying For Time’, which you can get hold of at Michael’s website as a free download here.
