Pop curio Gemma Ray is due to embark on a brief UK tour this September, in support of her album Island Fire, released earlier this year via Bronzerat.
She’s already had a busy summer, touring with Marianne Faithfull, Ane Brun and Kitty Daisy and Lewis, as well as teaming up with the 64-piece Filmorchester Babelsberg for special shows in Berlin.
Also, she may play some tracks from her next full-length, Down Baby Down, to be released in November, but it’s worth going just to see her play a vintage Hagstrom with a kitchen knife.
Support in Cardiff and London comes from Gulp, the new endeavour of Guto Pryce of Super Furry Animals fame, Lindsey Leven and Gid Goundrey.
