Gazelle Twin Shares Studio Recording Of Audio Installation

She's released a reworked version of the installation previously put together for London's Somerset House, alongside Maxine Peake

Gazelle Twin has released a studio version of the audio installation she made in collaboration with Maxine Peake, We Wax. We Shall Not Wane.

Out digitally via Bandcamp, the installation was previously showcased at London’s Somerset House for its The Horror Show exhibition, which ran from October 2022 until February 2023. We Wax. We Shall Not Wane, which has been reworked for its digital release, appeared at the end of the exhibition, which was billed as a journey through 50 years of horror cinema.

Actor Maxine Peake narrates an amalgamation of historic text and literature over Gazelle Twin’s audio recordings throughout the piece, including Agnes Sampson’s Healing Charm (1591), and excerpts from Ben Jonson’s The Witches’ Charms from The Masque Of Queens (1609), and Gazelle Twin’s own words.

20 percent of the sales made in the first month on Bandcamp will be donated to UK charity End Violence Against Women. You can find the release on Bandcamp here.

We Wax. We Shall Not Wane is out now on Anti-Ghost Moon Ray.
