Gazelle Twin will release three songs from her J.G. Ballard-inspired Kingdom Come show on vinyl, in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory and CTM. From the release, you can check out a video for ‘I Consume Only’ above.
She has been touring the show over the last year, with some of its final shows having taken place last weekend. Gazelle Twin, otherwise known as Elizabeth Bernholz, didn’t herself feature in the show, which saw two vocalists appear on stage for a conceptual performance incorporating film, music and choreography.
The show was created alongside filmmakers Chris Turner and Tash Tung, and was described as taking as its subject of criticism "the rituals and perils of suburban consumerism and provides a relentless commentary on social and political phenomena prophetically foreseen by J.G. Ballard in his novel Kingdom Come".
The cover art for the release has been designed by David Bowie visual collaborator Jonathan Barnbrook, with the vinyl release limited to 300 copies and out later this month. Read our interview with Bernholz about Kingdom Come here.
