Listen up, fans of good music: Gary Numan has confirmed that his new album Splinter will get a worldwide release on October 14, with a UK and Ireland tour set to follow in November.
While we haven’t heard anything from the album yet, the text accompanying the tour announcement says that it "ranges from the wall-of-electronic noise that is ‘I Am Dust’ to slower velocity anthems such as ‘Where I Can Never Be’ and the orchestral strings of ‘Scream’", adding: "[T]here are 4 or 5 tracks that set Numan’s vocals against moody atmospheric slow-burners to stunning effect".
It also tells us that Robin Finck, former Nine Inch Nails guitarist, features on the record, with Ade Fenton taking up the knob-twiddling reins again.
