PREMIERE: Gareth JS Thomas’ ‘Hyphen British’ Video

The former Sly & the Family Drone member has used images from CT scans and X-rays for the clip

Gareth JS Thomas has shared a new video for a track called ‘Hyphen British’ which is set to feature on his forthcoming album, The Incredible Years.

Alongside his solo work, Gareth currently also makes up part of the musical project USA Nails and was formerly a part of Silent Front and Sly & the Family Drone. He was involved in their debilitating accident on the way to a show in Paris in January 2018, and following that spent the majority of the year banged up and in treatment.

This period has now served as inspiration for the video for ‘Hyphen British’, which is made up of shifting images from CT scans and X-rays of his body following the crash.

“They show me at my most unglamorously vulnerable,” Gareth explains. “You can see all the broken bones, it might be more than some people want to see, but it felt appropriate.”

The Incredible Years will be released on January 24 through independent tape label Bezirk.
