G N’R Guitarist Denies Tour Rumours

Things are never straightforward in the mentally divergent world of Guns N’Roses are they? Now guitarist Richard Fortus has denied he ever told a St. Louis newspaper that the band would be touring from March, as picked up by The Quietus and others earlier this week.

The guitarist protested in a statement: "OK, it seems that I am being misquoted once again. I never said that GN’R would be playing St. Louis, nor did I say that we will be doing free shows or that we are starting a two-year tour in March! Selective hearing. Never said it."

This prompt retraction mirrors the one made by Axl Rose associate Fernando Lebeis who recently posted on a band fan board saying the release of the new video for single ‘Better’ was being delayed by Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, who was yet to sign a release form for his appearance in the clip.

Hours after the comment spread Lebeis deleted his words from the site and issued a statement saying it was all just a big joke that had got out of hand and that the Napster-hating drummer was in fact not holding up the video after all.
