Full Of Noises Returns In August

The Cumbria festival will feature experimental sound art and musical performances from the likes of Ryoko Akama, Sam Underwood and more

Full of Noises, a festival based in Barrow-in-Furness’s Barrow Park, is set to return in August. Taking place on Friday 17 and Saturday 18, the festival will feature installation works, new music and live performance.

The lineup includes sound artist and composer Ryoko Akama, musician and instrument designer Sam Underwood, experimental musician and improviser ASUNA, and more.

You can view the full artist list here. The billed events include an installation inspired by and in collaboration with Cornwall’s Museum of Witchcraft and Magic and an installation by Sarah Kenchington, who has developed an orchestra designed to be played by a single person.

Full of Noises is also arranging a short tour for some of the artists showcased at the festival. Installations and performances by ASUNA and Tomoko Sauvage will take place in Salford and Sheffield with support from composer Sam Weaver and percussionist Charlie Collins respectively.
