Barrow-in-Furness’ Full of Noises is back next month for its 10th edition, and the first wave of artists playing has now been announced.
This year’s event will host Kelly Jayne Jones premiering a new work inspired by Cumbria’s musical stones, Sarah Kenchington, ORE and sound artists Tim Shaw and Lee Patterson, who will present work drawing upon their residencies with South Walney Nature Reserve.
This year’s three-day event will also see a return for the original sound art golf course at Barrow Park. Domestic Science, Furness Model Railway Club, Sam Underwood, Sarah Kenchington, Chiz Turnross, Nicki McCubbing and Thing Thong will all contribute new works to that, while Barrow Library will host a series of workshops and talks from those performing across the weekend.
There are still more names to be announced in the coming weeks. Full of Noises will take place at multiple locations in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria from August 9-11. For more information and to get tickets, head here.
