We were chuffed to hear that Frisk Frugt, aka Anders Lauge Meldgaard, the prodigiously talented Danish composer whose flipping brilliance we’ve previously distilled twofold, is releasing a new album, Den Europæiske Spejlbue. It’s out in Denmark on January 12 2015 and the rest of the world on the 26th, via Tambourhinoceros, and following on from ‘Solhyldest 1. Del’, we’ve got another new track: ‘Og hele verden forsvinder i tager’. Never one to shy away from cramming in as many elements as one piece of music can contain, Meldgaard wends his new offering from massed choral vocals to a full-blown orchestral implosion, glitch transposed for brass and woodwind instruments all playing from misprints of the same score. Listen above.
