Freedom To Spend To Release Charity Compilation

Helado Negro, Todd Barton and more have contributed music to the release with proceeds going to the Association For Neighborhood And Housing Development

RVNG Intl. sub-label Freedom To Spend is releasing a compilation called New Neighborhoods.

Proceeds from sales of the compilation will go to the Association For Neighborhood And Housing Development (ANHD), which focuses on promoting affordable housing measures in New York City. The 16-track set takes in tracks from Roberto Carlos Lange (AKA Helado Negro), Jefre-Cantu Ledesma, Space Afrika, Todd Barton, Sugai Ken, Felicia Atkinson, Ka Baird, CV & JAB, and more.

The release is partly an homage to Ernest Hood’s 1975 ambient work Neighborhoods, which Freedom To Spend reissued last year.

You can watch a video trailer for the compilation, soundtracked by Todd Barton’s contribution to the release, ‘Ashland Ambience’, above.

Freedom To Spend will release New Neighborhoods on October 2, 2020.
