Franz Ferdinand have announced the release date for their forthcoming third album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.
The ‘Scottish’ band will release the record handily at the end of January when nothing else big is coming out, thus guaranteeing oodles of press and a thrusting chart position.
Speaking to NME.com, Alex Kapranos explained the reasoning behind the name of the album: “I can picture a marquee outside a theatre saying Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, there’s a sense of anticipation.
"It’s music for the dancefloor, your bedroom as you psyche yourself up to go out, a stranger’s bedsit coming down an hour before dawn.”
