Last weekend, Flying Lotus debuted a new short film at the Sundance NEXT Festival under the moniker ‘Steve’, before revealing that the short film was in fact part of a larger project, entitled Kuso.
As FACT reports, He said he is 65% finished with the film and has been producing it under-the-radar since the start of the year. He also shared information on the progress of the soundtrack revealing that it will be comprised of music from Aphex Twin, Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka, Thundercat and his own Captain Murphy project.
FlyLo is still in the process of seeking financial backing for the completion of the film so it is not yet known when it will see release, though he’s stated that he will not run a Kickstarter campaign in order to see it funded.
