Flying Lotus’ Debut Film Release Confirmed

The film will be available to stream online from next month

Kuso, the directorial film debut of Steve Ellison aka Flying Lotus, will be available to stream on Shudder starting July 21.

Kuso follows the mutant survivors of a nightmarish Los Angeles earthquake, who broadcast their stories on a makeshift television network. The body horror film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, to audience members walking out and declarations that it was "the grossest movie ever made," alongside comparisons to David Lynch and David Cronenberg.

Its soundtrack features new music from Ellison as Captain Murphy, Aphex Twin, Akira Yamaoka and Thundercat. Of the streaming plans, Ellison said: "Shudder felt like the perfect home for Kuso."

The AMC streaming service carries horror and thriller movies, with a commitment to subversive new films such as Kuso. You can watch the trailer here.
