Floating Points Releases New Track, ‘Someone Close’

It's one of four cuts that feature on a new limited edition 12-inch vinyl from the UK producer

Floating Points has unveiled a new track, called ‘Someone Close’.

The beatless cut, which is built around arpeggiated modular synth melodies, is set to feature as one of four tracks on a new limited edition 12-inch vinyl release from the UK producer, which will also take in the singles ‘Vocoder’, ‘Grammar’ and ‘Problems’, all released earlier this year. You can listen to ‘Someone Close’ above.

The new record will mark Floating Points’ first non-single release since 2020’s collaborative album with Pharoah Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra, Promises.

Ninja Tune will release 2022 on December 16, 2022.
