Floating Points Announces Debut Album

Floating Points announces debut album; watch a video for the first track to be revealed from the album below

Following years of EPs and standalone single releases Floating Points has announced his debut album, Elaenia – a video for album track, ‘Silhouettes (I, II & III)’, is available to watch above.

The album will be released, via Pluto, on November 6 and is said to draw "upon everything Shepherd has done to date". Elaenia will feature an extensive set of collaborators with drums from Tom Skinner and Leo Taylor as well as vocals from Rahel Debebe-Dessalegne, Layla Rutherford and Shepherd himself. There are also collaborators taking up roles on bass, guitar, violins, viola and cello. Floating Points will play live at Dimensions Festival tomorrow night with a full live band as part of the festival’s opening concert which will be streamed via Boiler Room from 7.30pm UK time.
