Fis At Next Tropical Waste Party

Crafter of immersive, brilliantly strange sound system music joins Debonair, Iydes and Seb at Stoke Newington event

Fis is set to make his UK debut at the second Tropical Waste party at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, London. The New Zealander will be headlining the June 12 event with support from NTS DJ Debonair and TW residents Iydes and Seb – head here for full details and tickets.

Originally emerging along the fringes of the drum & bass scene, his music has since mutated into stranger, entirely more unique forms – Mixmag pretty much hit the nail on the head when they called him "the bass-heavy artist who designs abstract riddims to destroy sound systems” – he’s soon to release the excellent Iterations via Tri Angle. Take a listen to ‘Womb Dream’ from the EP below, and decide for yourself whether you want to go and meet him in a dark, sweaty basement. (Yes, you do).
