Next year’s Roskilde Festival in Denmark is to feature a collaborative set between the German electronic groups, Moderat and Modeselektor, on the festival’s main Orange Stage. Anders Wahrén, responsible for the festival’s programming, comments that although “Moderat and Modeselektor share band members… they’ve never actually played together.”
With more of a focus on alternative and experimental pop in 2017’s line-up, the festival will feature Angel Olsen, Jenny Hval, Trentemøller, Pig Destroyer, Hieroglyphic Being, Marching Church and Mats Gustafsson’s N Ensemble “Hidros Zap”, as well as many others. In total, Roskilde is set to announce 175 acts.
Roskilde Festival continues to be a fully non-profit festival, and is run with the help of volunteers. The festival takes place 35km from Copenhagen, and is situated closely to the town of Roskilde. It will take place from June 24 – July 1, with tickets on sale from November 15. For more information, click here.
