The first set of names has been revealed for this year’s Le Guess Who? with Wilco, Savages, Julia Holter and Suuns all tapped up to curate parts of the bill.
All four will host multi-venue programmes at the Utrecht festival with full details to be announced in the coming months. The programmes will take in their “inspirations and interests” while all four will also play.
Also announced today are Swans (playing the last show of their 2016 tour), a rare performance from Patty Waters, Dinosaur Jr, Digable Planets, Wooden Shjips, Raime, Cate Le Bon, The Comet Is Coming, Ryley Walker and a world premiere performance of Lera Auerbach’s ’72 Angels’ by the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and Raschèr Saxophone Quartet.
There will aos be sets from St. Francis Duo (the project of Stephen O’Malley and Steve Noble), Phurpa, The Dwarfs Of East Agouza, Anna von Hausswolff, Jameszoo Quarter, Heron Oblivion, Nadja, Stara Rzeka, Richard Skelton, Guy One & The Polyversal Souls, Heather Leigh, Horse Lords, Ryan Sambol, DOODcast and Scott Fagan.
