Finders Keepers to Release Recordings of Suzanne Ciani’s First Buchla Synth Performance

'Buchla Concert At Galeria Bonino New York April 1974' is out in August

Recordings from Suzanne Ciani’s very first public performance using the Buchla synthesiser are set to be released through the UK archival label Finders Keepers.

Buchla Concert At Galeria Bonino New York April 1974 takes in 29 minutes of previously unheard recordings by the Italian-American composer, lifted from a performance at a New York art gallery in the titular year. The release is split into two parts, and will be made available digitally and on vinyl.

It follows on from Finders Keepers previously putting out Ciani’s Buchla Concerts 1975 in 2016. That release featured two recordings captured at separate performances, also in New York, and will receive a new pressing courtesy of the label in August.

Finders Keepers will release Buchla Concert At Galeria Bonino New York April 1974 on August 2, 2024.
