Hoary old gothic rockers Fields of the Nephilim (also known as The Neff to men in their 60s) have confirmed that they are playing Guilfest.
The band are famous for dressing like cowboys and the piercing stare of their lead singer as well as albums such as Dawn Razorlight.
Hordes of their fans are expected to descend on the festival in Guilford on July 16 to see them. The air is expected to ring with their familiar cry of, ‘Play the one that sounds a bit like a rubbish version of Television’s ‘Marquee Moon’… but don’t play the one where you go on about all the bus stops near Camden.’
Front man Johnny Borrell, who suffers from a rare genetic condition which means he cannot fully close his mouth, said, "Expect us to dress like cowboys, expect flour, expect dry ice and songs that lean heavily on Ennio Morricone… Since Whorf from Star Trek Next Generation has joined The Neff, we will be unstoppable."
