Our friends at Field Day have just uploaded a great new episode of their Festival preview radio show. You can listen to the Mixcloud below and hear Martin Creed discussing art and music, Franz Ferdinand on making their return in 2012 a bit older, a bit wiser, and with kids… though apparently "Bob’s been busy doing bits and bobs. Making films, for personal use." They also profess excitement about their new material (apparently they’re more excited about this than anything else they’ve done in the past).
There’s also music from Julia Holter, Chairlift, Jeffrey Lewis and more AND the whole thing finishes off with a brilliant mix by Liars, who choose Wire’s ‘Ahead’ (one of our favourite tracks from that group), SPK, DAF, Robert Rental… oh yes. Field Day takes place on June 2nd 2012, and we’re hosting the Village Mentality Stage, as we have for the past two years.
