Field Day have announced a bunch of parties ahead of and after the festival, taking place in Victoria Park from June 7-8. The pre-parties are in the week leading up to the festival, beginning with atmospheric house producer Throwing Snow at the Ace Hotel this Sunday, June 1. Other parties include Glasser, who will be bringing her mellifluous electronic pop to the Shacklewell Arms on June 4, and new London band Groves, who will be filling the pub with their hushed psychedelia on June 6. If you can muster the energy after Field Day’s electronic-packed first day on June 7, you can drag your ass down to the Oval Space where dependable house dons Jackmaster and Daniel Avery will be DJing along with others until 6am. If you’ve had your fill of electronica, then unkempt six piece Fat White Family will be getting sweaty in the Shacklewell Arms on the same night.
Field Day have also announced the Red Stripe bandstand, with a run of DJs – Heavenly Jukebox, Desperate Soundsystem (Steve Mackey of Pulp and Ben Fat Trucker), Transgressive DJs, Charli Avery, Jonjo Jury, Lemmy Ashton, Morgan Hammer, Nathan Gregory Wilkins and Richard Norris – playing across the festival’s two days.
More parties are set to be announced in the run-up to the festival; for now, get your tickets for the pre- and post-parties here and take a look at our Quietus Field Day preview page.
