Fatima Al Qadiri has a new EP on the way for Hyperdub.
Titled Gumar, the four-track release is a collaboration with a fellow Kuwaiti artist, also called Gumar. The record pairs Al Qadiri’s production with Gumar’s mournful vocals, which reference the lamentation singing that both artists’ heard in traditional music while they were growing up. Hyperdub will release Gumar on March 10, 2023.
