Adventurers in the field of hygiene limits Fat White Family are putting out the first single on their label Without Consent next month. It’s called ‘I Am Mark E Smith’ and it’s out on October 27. Committing plain sight identity theft of The Fall frontman (not to mention another surprising revelation on the B-side, ‘I Am Joseph Stalin’) really requires a very fine song, and said track is exactly that, a teeming mass of pond scum keys, donkey hoof hand claps and further lyrical pearls from Lias Saudi ("Leave the kettle on, leave the kettle on!").
