Salford’s DIY promoters ‘Fat Out Till You Pass Out’ have announced the next 17 acts to be added to the bill of their third Fat Out Fest, taking place this April in Islington Mill.
Added to the Supersonic Stage are experimental synth rock pioneers Trans Am, Connie Prantera’s intense audio visual project MOONSEER, French experimental violinist Agathe Max and Birmingham Doom Metal outfit Rainbow Grave.
London-based jazz composer and performer Sarathy Korwar has been added to the Fat Out Stage alongside Charles Hayward, Bad Body and Berlin-based ambient glitch producer Yr Lovely Dead Moon.
On the Sweat Sticky stage techno DJs/producers Greg Beato and Garth Be have been announced as well as Ono Records’ Dispilio.
More acts have also been announced on the stages hosted by promoters The Basilica, Le Guess Who and Baba Yaga’s Hut, including Manchester experimental cellist and vocalist Ecka Mordecai as well as Alexandra Duvekot & The Plant Orchestra, Sam Weaver and ILL.
These newly announced acts accompany an already exciting bill featuring the likes of Newcastle psyche outfit Blown Out, dark techno producers Giant Swan, and The Bug Vs Dylan Carlson of Earth.
tQ will also host a stage and full details on that, including the lineup, will be announced in the coming months.
Started in 2007 by Emma Thompson and Verity Gardner as a platform for independent artists in Salford and Manchester, Fat Out’s first festival was in 2010. Now in its third instalment, Fat Out Fest prides itself on the celebration of independent events amid the surplus of “commercially-led festivals”.
The event will take place from April 14-16 at Islington Mill in Salford and in surrounding warehouse venues with more acts, instalments, workshops and performances pieces to be announced. For tickets and more information, click here.
