Fall Out Boy’s Raging Sex Drive

Emo-poppers Fall Out Boy are to pop their teen-movie cameo cherry with an appearance in next year’s comedy Sex Drive. The no doubt uproarious flick, which had the inspired working name of Untitled Teen Road Movie, sees the band playing the Amish version of spring-break, known as Rumspringa.

Funnily enough Rumspringa actually exists, as Fall Out Boy hottie Pete Wentz explained to MTV: "I watched The Devil’s Playground (a 2002 documentary about Amish teens and Rumspringa), and they actually have these. And it’s crazy, it’s kind of like a rave meets, like, Children of the Corn. There’s no rules at all."

The band, who perform ‘FameInfamy’ in the film, were enticed into the production by pal Seth Green who plays a sarcastic Amish former mechanic with a huge beard. Having seen the finished article Wentz reportedly declared, "Yo, this movie’s actually really good", so that’s a relief.

Sex Drive is out in the UK on January 9.
