London club fabric is launching a new label, fabric Originals.
The new project, which will join in-house label Houndstooth as well as fabric’s ongoing fabric presents mix series, will release singles by artists "that form the present and future of boundary-pushing club music globally," according to press materials. The label’s first release, a split 12-inch single by US DJs and producers Eris Drew and Octo Octa, features two tracks, ‘Day After A Night With U’ and ‘Stars & Water’. The second fabric Originals release will come in the form of a four-track release by DJ Bone, Black Market, which is due out next month. Following that, the label will release a four-track record by Helena Hauff in November, called Living With Ladybirds.
The label also has its fourth, fifth and sixth records lined up for release in the first half of 2023, by I. JORDAN and SHERELLE; LCY; and Marcel Dettmann respectively.
