Fabric Announces Campaign Compilation

London club enlists Shackleton, Rrose, Paula Temple, Coldcut and many more on new compilation released as part of ongoing campaign to appeal club's closure

fabric’s campaign to save the club from closure following the revoking of its license last month will receive a further boost next month with the release of a new compilation taking in unreleased music from over 100 producers linked to the club.

The compilation contains previously unreleased music from Shackleton, Rrose, Paula Temple, Coldcut, Planetary Assault Systems, Mumdance & Logos, Kuedo, Perc, Vex’d, Overmono, Vatican Shadow & Telefon Tel Aviv and a great deal more names. The first track to be unveiled from the compilation is from Houndstooth signee Throwing Snow, entitled ‘One For The Booth’, which you can check out above.

So far, the campaign to save fabric has raised over £300,000 having been launched little over a month ago with the club seeking to overturn the decision to take away its license following recent drug deaths at the club, as well as see a change to laws for all UK venues to ensure that other clubs do not befall the same fate so easily. The appeal hearing will take place on November 28.

The compilation has been put together collaboratively by fabric Records and in-house label Houndstooth. The labels asked producers involved with the club or the labels to donate a track each giving them a three-week deadline. The club says that it would "like to present this compilation as a document of this moment in time but also as the perfect embodiment of everything fabric is and stands for." It’s out on November 4.
