LISTEN: New Music From Sleaford Mods’ Andrew Fearn

One-half of Sleaford Mods shares a new track called ‘Gnome’ under his Extnddntwrk alias

Tomorrow (October 25), East London venue The Glove That Fits will host the latest edition of occasional event Misc. featuring a headline DJ set from Demdike Stare as well as sets by residents Tengui, Datassette and Mücha.

Another of the acts on the bill is Extnddntwrk, who some may know as the alias of Andrew Fearn, one-half of Sleaford Mods. His work as Extnddntwrk finds him pushing into more abstract, electronic territory than those who are familiar with Sleaford Mods might expect, and above, you can hear an example of that via previously unreleased track, ‘Gnome’.

“‘Gnome’ is basically a melody which in part is self generated by a randomised sequence guided by some written chords," Fearn explains.

Speaking about the range of his work, he adds: “composing music has been a lifetime hobby and obsession of mine that keeps me going, music is endless and there is always something good happening if you listen.”
