Experimental Yorkshire At The Trades Club

Tor Festival will take over the Trades Club in Hebden Bridge for an all-day celebration of Yorkshire's most pioneering underground musicians

The experimental music of Yorkshire will be celebrated with an all-day festival at the Hebden Bridge Trades Club on 21 July, presented by Tor Fest.

One of Britain’s best venues will host the likes of colossal power-trio Guttersnipe, longstanding Leeds pioneers Ashtray Navigations, and the polymathic Andie Brown – aka These Feathers Have Plumes.

A number of exceedingly rare and special collaborative performances will also be taking place, such as an elusive set from Richard Youngs and John Clyde Evans, and a joint performance from Anna Peaker and Ashtray Navigations’ Mel Delaney.

Elsewhere, The Slowest Lift – a collaboration between Sophie Cooper and experimental artist Julian Bradley – will be joined by New Zealand synth twister Noel Meek, who also runs End Of Alphabet Records.

Said label are releasing a new compilation in partnership with Vibracathedral Orchstra’s Neil Campbell exploring Yorkshire’s underground music, it will be available at the show.

The superlative line-up also includes Cherry Styles, Bridget Hayden, Hawthonn, Yol and Foldhead.
