WATCH: New Ex-Easter Island Head Video

The band share a video for the centrepiece to their most recent album, released last year

Ex-Easter Island Head have shared a brand new video for recent album track ‘Twenty-Two Strings’.

Described as a centrepiece to their 2016 album of the same name, the video for the almost 10-minute track, which has been put together by Liverpool-based filmmakers Venya Krutikov and Tommy Husband, offers close-up, detailed glimpses of the band playing the various string instruments that make up the track’s serene melodies. The clip uses super slow motion and abstract lens techniques to capture the band at work, and was shot and edited at The invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool.

The piece captures the group’s usual approach to making music from decidedly restrained means, casting out any digital rendering or post-production and simply displaying their musicianship as a unit, putting to use three guitars and three allen keys to conjure up the gorgeous textures that carry the track.

Ex-Easter Island Head will be touring their Salford Large Electric Ensemble throughout this year and will follow these shows with a European tour as a trio later in the year. More information on their live shows can be found here.
