Erol Alkan & Pulp To Play Fabriclive This Weekend

Alkan's new label Phantasy takes over Rooms 1 and 2 on Friday 2nd September, while Pulp frontman plays a DJ set in Room 3

This Friday, 2nd September, Trash founder, DJ and producer Erol Alkan makes his return to Fabric, with his new label Phantasy as the night’s host. Unusually, the label is actually taking control of both Room 1 (the one with the legendarily brilliant soundsystem) and Room 2 for the night, featuring Erol himself alongside Gesaffelstein, Stopmakingme, Switch and Canblaster.

According to the man himself: “In Room One, I will play one of my fabric flavoured club sets where I will attempt to push the venue’s brilliant sound and lighting rig to its maximum, with techno’s new poster boy Gassefelstien (he remixed our ‘Lemonade’ within an inch of its own life) tasked to close the room afterwards. Opening will be the eagle eared Stopmakingme, a great, forward thinking DJ and part of a group of young, new selectors who are more focused on great records over ego flattering crowd reactions. There will also be a one off, exclusive surprise outside of the already exclusive surprise live guest…"

Meanwhile, Pulp frontman and vocalist for Erol & Boys Noize’s new single ‘Avalanche’ Jarvis Cocker plays a rare DJ set in Room 3, hosted by Durrr. It will apparently be an early set, so Fabric recommend arriving in decent time.
