Erasure Announce New Album

Electronic duo announce new album of festive cuts

Erasure have announced that they’ll be releasing Snow Globe, a Christmas-time album featuring a mixture of original tracks and their interpretations of seasonal classics, on November 11 via Mute.

The band have cited Kate Bush and Tracey Thorn’s recent Christmas LPs as an influence, with band member Vince Clarke saying: "We managed to strip everything back to bare essentials. ‘White Christmas’ almost has a drone all the way through it. I love that.”

The first single will be their version of the carol ‘Gaudete’, with the duo’s other half Andy Bell saying: “I thought I’d lost him but he was there all along.”
