Emeka Ogboh has a new album on the way, called
6°30’33.372"N 3°22’0.66"E.
The eight-track release centres around field recordings captured at Lagos’ Ojuelegba bus station, as well as in its surrounding areas. It’s the first release on Ogboh’s new Danfotronics label, founded as an outlet for experimental
electronics from Nigeria, West Africa and beyond, and one of the cuts on the record, ‘Ayilara’, which you can listen to just below, first featured in the Berghain exhibition Studio Berlin, which ran at the Berlin venue while it remained shut as a club due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new album follows on from the reissue last year of the Berlin-based Nigerian sound artist’s record Beyond The Yellow Haze on Ostgut Ton sub-label A-TON.
Danfrotronics will release 6°30’33.372"N 3°22’0.66"E on July 29, 2022.
