EFG London Jazz Festival Unveils Fourth Wave of Acts Playing 2024 Edition

Tashi Wada and Ill Considered are among the latest acts to join the extensive bill

EFG London Jazz Festival has confirmed a fourth wave of acts playing its 32nd edition later this year.

Newly announced shows include an appearance from Tashi Wada at the ICA, fresh from the recent release via RVNG Intl. of his album What Is Not Strange?; and a show from improv trio Ill Considered at Lower Third.

South African vocal group The Joy will perform at Milton Court, while Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall will host a set from kamancheh player Kayhan Kalor. The likes of Jean Toussaint, Denys Baptiste, Byron Wallen and Josh Short have also joined the list of musicians set to take part in a special celebration of the life and work of Max Roach, which will celebrate what would have been the legendary jazz drummer’s 100th birthday.

These additions join the previously announced likes of Matthew Herbert, Seun Kuti, Pat Metheny, Robert Glasper, Imelda May and many others on the bill.

Spread out across 10 days, the festival will take place across a number of venues, including the Barbican Hall; Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall; KOKO; and Union Chapel.

EFG London Jazz Festival will take place from November 15 to 24, 2024. Find more information here.
