Eazy E’s Daughter Criticises NWA Biopic

Daughter of the late NWA member producing a documentary after she says 'pivotal moments' were left out of the recent biopic on the group

The daughter of the late Eazy E has said that she plans to produce a documentary on NWA after criticising the recently released biopic on the group, Straight Outta Compton, for leaving out ‘pivotal moments’ in the history of the group and not accurately portraying her father’s life.

In a series of tweets, EB Wright wrote: "A lot of Eazy E’s storyline was missing but that’s OK because I’m producing a documentary that will show everything including his death. Sit tight and wait for the doc A Ruthless Scandal: No More Lies… Just saying a lot of pivotal moments in Eazy’s life were left out." Wright does however encourage people to watch the movie, adding: "Go see the movie and get educated and then wait on this documentary." Wright is not the only person to criticise the film though, with NWA’s MC Ren tweeting: "True fans know my role in the group as far as lyrics are concerned, don’t let the movie fool you about my contribution to the group." Straight Outta Compton was released in cinemas last Friday (August 14).
