Derbyshire punk duo Drenge have had nothing short of a mammoth touring schedule this year, playing a vast number of shows across the country and taking in a host of festivals in the summer. That’s set to continue next year, starting with a run of dates in the US, and ahead of that, we’ve got a video of the band reflecting on why they prefer playing small venues.
Says singer and guitarist Eoin Loveless: "I saw Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster a couple of months before we started playing gigs as Drenge and they just came on and did the most amazing show," while brother and drummer Rory adds: "Now and then I do get nervous before we perform. I think it’s more of a case of thinking that we really need to put a good show on because we’ve travelled 12 hours to be there and you’d get upset with yourself if you don’t pull it off".
