Damon Albarn’s DRC Music Collective To Release Charity Album

Kinshasa One Two features the likes of Actress and Dan The Automator, alongside local Congolese musicians, to be released on Warp in October

Damon Albarn’s recently assembled collective DRC Music, composed of international producers ranging from Actress and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs to Dan The Automator, Mark Antonie and Remi Kabaka, is to release an album, Kinshasa One Two to benefit Oxfam. Due for digital release on 3rd October, it will see CD and vinyl release on 7th November, all through Warp.

The project came together in July, when the collective flow to Democratic Republic of Congo capital Kinshasa to record with local musicians over the course of five days. The album’s release will raise funds for the local performers involved as well as Oxfam’s ongoing work in Congo.
