Pure Love, Frank Carter – formerly of hardcore punks Gallows – and Jim Carroll’s new band, have released a taster track from their debut album. Carter and Carroll are currently finalising the album over in Brooklyn, with production by Gil Norton, he of Pixies and Throwing Muses fame.
A nigh on perfect example of their “great guitar rock band” ethos, ‘Bury My Bones’ is all pounding drums and 70s riffing, with some hair-swingin’, Marshall-amped antics in the video. It also seems, with opening lines “I’m so sick of singing about hate / It’s never going to make a change”, that Carter has put the final kibosh on his Gallows tenure.
The band have also announced another live date: 29th May will see them taking to the stage at London’s Scala, following up their live debut at Bush Hall earlier this year – get tickets here.
