Copenhagen’s Pinkunoizu are taking their multi-faceted, folk and electronic-tinged "cocktail music" on a tour of Europe this month and next.
They’ll be playing the Sebright Arms in London on December 12 – get tickets here – and ahead of the live dates, they’ve done a remix of one of the Quietus’ favourite new bands, fellow Scandinavians Goat. It’s a fitting choice, given that Pinkunoizu share the Swedes’ space-bound partiality for incantational, organ-laced psychedelia – download their rerub of ‘Run To Your Mama’ below:
They’ve also announced that they’ll be giving away an exclusive cassette-only EP, entitled ‘CVR/RMX The Plastic Chromo Tape’, on their tour, which features the Goat remix, as well as reworkings of Sam Airey’s ‘The Blackout’ and their own ‘Time Is Like A Melody’, alongside their cover of Haddaway’s ‘What Is Love?’ (and all of that on a resplendent orange tape, mind). There are only 50 copies, which will be given to the first people through the door at the UK, Belgian and Netherlands shows, so be punctual if you fancy one.
In the meantime, if you haven’t listened to their recent album Free Time already, remedy that now:
