DOWNLOAD: Moon Duo – Sleepwalker

Exclusive premiere of track from forthcoming album Circles

Moon Duo are getting ready to release their second album, Circles, out on October 1 via Souterrain Transmissions and we’ve got an exclusive download of ‘Sleepwalker’ from the album below.

Recorded partly in the Rocky Mountains in the band’s native Colorado and party above Lucky Cat Recordings in San Francisco, it’s the follow-up to 2010’s Mazes and the band will be heading out on a worldwide tour to support it in October and November – here are the UK dates:

NOVEMBER

Mon 12 – Captain’s Rest, Glasgow

Tue 13 – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds

Wed 14 – Corsica Studios, London

Friday 16 – The Croft, Bristol

The duo took the album’s name from the essay ‘Circles’ by 19th-century American Transcendentalist Ralph Waldo Emerson. So while you listen, hold his observation "[t]he eye is the first circle; the horizon which it forms is the second; and throughout nature this primary figure is repeated without end" in mind.
