As we’ve previously reported, Chan Marshall, aka Cat Power, is set to return later this year with her first album of new original material since 2006’s The Greatest. Entitled Sun, it’s set for release on September 3rd through Matador, and from the music we’ve heard thus far sets her voice in by far the fullest and most pop song-esque arrangements we’ve heard from her thus far. Now, in advance of the album’s release, Matador are giving away both the track ‘Cherokee’ and a remix by floaty, hempy trip-hop revivalist Nicolas Jaar.
