When the glory days of the Bank Holiday weekend have been banished to things past, here’s something to combat any residual blues: Dolfish, aka Cleveland, OH singer-songwriter Max Sollisch is bringing his ace ragged-edged, literate lo-fi to these shores for a six-date tour. He’ll be supported by Pavement’s Bob Nastanovich, who’ll be playing a DJ set at two of the London gigs, the second of which is taking place in the Quietus’ second office, the Mucky Pup, where Bob will be ably supported by friend of the Quietus and of the turf accountant, the fearless free thinker of Grimsby Town, Mr Jon McArthur – have a look at the dates below:
APRIL
Wed 3 – The Adelphi, Hull
Thu 4 – The Tudor, Wigan
Fri 5 – Cakey Muto, London – w/ Bob Nastanovich
Sat 6 – The Mucky Pup, London – w/ Bob Nastanovich
Sun 7 – The Brixton Windmill, London
Mon 8 – The Basement, York
Having had his debut EP Your Love is Bummin’ Me Out released on Dublin’s Indiecater Records on cassette/download and then again by Afternoon Records on 7", Sollisch released his debut album I’d Rather Disappear Than Stay The Same on the label last year. You can stream and download the album, and watch his video for the LP’s title track, following the tour dates below:
