Dinosaur Jr. have announced that they will be publishing their official autobiography in November through Rocket 88 Books.
Dinosaur Jr. by Dinosaur Jr. will be the first book on the band penned by members J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph, alongside long-time associates and former members including Mike Johnson, George Berz, Megan Jasper, Jens Jurgensen and Jon Fetler. As well as the story of the band, the book will go heavy on pictures, drawing on masses of rare and unseen photographs from the band’s friends and family – have a watch of its trailer below:
It’ll be available in two versions, the standard ‘Classic Edition’, with cover art from Marq Spusta finished in rather natty purple cloth binding with foil detailing, while the ‘Signature Edition’ takes a signed copy of the book and sets it in a clamshell box alongside art prints and a facsimile edition of the 1987-88 tour diaries written by the Fetler, the band’s roadie – head over to the book’s website to pre-order now.
