Dig That Treasure! Festival has announced its return to London this May.

Running across four days at the start of May, the opening night at Cafe OTO hosts the acclaimed Kurdish bouzouki player Mohammad Syfkhan, as well as a rare live appearance from Somali pop singer Canab Marwo.

The following evening sees performances from experimental pop duo Able Noise and enigmatic minimalist project Jemima, as well as DNA? AND?, a group comprised of young people with Down Syndrome and professional musicians from Oslo’s improv scene.

The third day features the much-loved guitarist Eric Chenaux, joined by the Scottish folk musician Harry Górski-Brown – among the most essential of the current wave of artists offering forward-thinking takes on traditional material. That day’s programming also features Belgium’s Ensemble Irsahm making their first appearance outside their home country. Formed of musicians from Créahmbxl (Création et Handicap Mental) and IRSA (Royal Institute for the Deaf and Blind), the group reinterpret the music of Saint-Saens, Hildegard von Bingen, Bach and more.

The closing night moves to IKLECTIK, where the festival hosts a collaborative set from Abul Mogard and Rafael Anton Irisarri, performing material from their 2024 album Impossibly Distant, Impossibly Close, supported by London-based ensemble Standard Issue.

The festival is co-presented with London-based promoter Baba Yaga’s Hut.

Dig That Treasure! Festival will take take place from 1 to 4 May 2026. Find more information here.
