Dialect Shares New Track, ‘Under~Between’

The track is lifted from Andrew PM Hunt's just-announced new album

Dialect, AKA Merseyside musician Andrew PM Hunt, has shared a new track, ‘Under~Between’.

It’s the first cut to be revealed from Hunt’s forthcoming album of the same name, which will be released by RVNG Intl. next month. (A portion of the proceeds from sales of the album will go to UK charity Refugee Women Connect.) Hunt began working on the album’s tracks as chamber pieces commissioned by the band Immix Ensemble. Dialect’s versions are created following the source material’s interactions between instruments, using digital production instead. You can watch a video for ‘Under~Between’, directed by Sara Ludy, above.

"I wanted to create something where there was a constant dialogue between the natural and technological, the mythical and the magical," Hunt, who also plays in the band Outfit and forms one-half of the duo Land Trance, said of the new album. "Under~Between explores the limits of human knowledge and control; it gently reminds us of the transitional state of our surroundings and indeed ourselves."

RVNG Intl. will release Under~Between on March 19, 2021.
