Depeche Mode’s new concert film, Depeche Mode: M, is coming to cinemas this October.

Having got its premiere at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival in June, the film will now get a wider release in over 2,500 cinemas across 60 countries from October 28. It follows the band over the course of three 2023 shows at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros, during their tour in support of 2023 album Memento Mori, and is said to explore Mexican culture’s relationship with death.

In a statement, the band said: “At its core, our new film, M, is about the deep connection between music, culture, and people – and Fernando Frías, who directed and conceived the film, did a beautiful job telling that story through the lens of Mexican culture and our shows in Mexico City.”

Tickets for cinema screenings will go on sale on September 17 via the dedicated film website.
